King of Grass - High on Class !!!

It couldn't have been any bigger than this, a dream final any tennis watcher could have wished for on center court, Wimbledon.

It was literally a "Clash of the Titans" and everyone hoped that the rain gods too were relaxing in front of their television sets :)

After days of clumsy freak weather at the Wimbledon the final day was much sunnier and the meadows were looking dry and green all set for the grand finale !

Two great masters of the game - one who was getting used to it and the other making use of it well.

The title clash was between Roger the top seed and Nadal the second, turned out to be a treat to watch for both spectators who had come to the center court with folded umbrellas and for those worldwide before the idiot box with their fingers crossed.

While Fedex was eying Bjorg's record of five straight Wimbledon titles, Rafa was hoping for his maiden Wimbledon title.

Many would have seen Roger emulating Nadal 5 years later or Nadal emulating Roger when the latter defeated Pete Sampras from getting his 5th consecutive Wimbledon title back in 2001.

The game was never a one sided affair, and was equally poised at any stage except for the latter stages of the decider.

I would say Roger had his lady-luck very much by his side as he got away with 1st and 3rd side thanks to a tie break. He proved his mettle with a total of 24 aces against 1 for Nadal , reminding everyone of the yesteryear legend Goran Ivanisevic who is still unparalleled with his serves on the grass.

Roger also had the number of unforced errors more than that of his opponent indicating how collected and composed the younger lad was.

Presumably both had their placements fantastic, giving us nothing less than a 'edge of the seat' experience.

Nadal came back strongly winning the 2nd and 4th sets thanks to some wonderful winners from his dynamic forehand, pushing the king of grass too far from being a cake walk.

The fact that both of them were equally flexing the muscles ,exhibited some exuberant talent and went on to grab 2 sets each before the decider.

While there was some mild chaos due to the hawk-eye decision challenging options, It was Nadal who took everyone by surprise by challenging only those decisions which turned to his favor.

Then came the final set which took away the breath of many and turned out to be the most exciting set of all games in the recent tennis history. Some would have even felt boring at times as both were winning equally and alternatively their own serves.

When the score board was reading 2-2 I was thinking only a tie break can decide the champion,
But then the swiss maestro justified he is a little above the crest when he broke Nadal for 2 successive games with some wonderful backhand winners and aces.

He won the set, match and championship 6-2 in the final set thus re-writing the history books.
Swedish legend Bjorn Borg was all smiles after he found a company for his elite club of 5 consecutive Wimbledon ch'ships.

The tears that rolled down Federer's cheeks said all the story and how great it was getting close to being called a legend.

But Nadal had more positives to take from the match, He stood tall, strong and can only be credited for pushing the champion to a fag end.

And Federer told that It was the toughest grand slam final for him and wished Nadal to have a longer run and that Nadal deserved a win in the center court.

And this match will go down in the history as one of the most enchanting tennis game, and also for the discovery of two great sportsmen - a legend of the present and a champion of the future.

Thanks for your time :)

AQ is hiring !!

Two back to back incidents, allegedly attempted by suicide bombers to blow-up some very vital installations in London and Glasgow, is being cited as a strong indication that AQ is back.

Wondering what AQ is? Its Al-Qaeda !!

Sources indicate that AQ is on a hiring spree, and is desperately searching for men for their new projects which are under analysis/design phase.

This time around they have deployed skilled labor like doctors and engineers, reportedly some Indians also have been involved. The recent detentions of Indian doctors serve as an example.

After a brief stint of deployment of their projects in the US, their attention have now turned towards the UK, which even a change in top Britain administration could not help from preventing.

AQ quickly jumped into action in UK after the government there enforced a bill which shows the door for 20,000 doctors who don't have a work permit, by bringing an amendment to effect the same.

The strong feeling of insecurity among these doctors where well utilized by AQ's master brains by deploying them to do subversive activities - a move that could well prove a nightmare for all the skilled labor of Asian origin, For there is always a racial implication in the aftermath of such attacks in Europe.

There have been reports that AQ have started manipulating Asian stock markets to raise funds it could well be the beginning of AQ's next innings.

The recent facts only assert that AQ network is growing by leaps and bounds across Asia , and sends strong signals for people to expect the unexpected.

The day is not far away when AQ will go one step further to offer IPO to people to manage their 'business'.

Thanks for sparing a minute or two :)

A Picture speaks a lot...

To be honest, I don't use to have a great flair for pictures , Be it some wonderful images portraying scenic excellence or green landscapes in the midst of cloud covered mountains.

Occasionally I used to feel nostalgic with a few pictures shot in college, also saddening me up for missing many such occasions.

But this particular picture has really influenced me so much that I have started staring at it continuously in my deliberate breaks at work.

Anyone would wonder what am I bluffing about. Its all about the picture in this post.

I admire Vinay a lot, Simply because he is so cool and down-to-earth and his acting prowess is just a piece of cake, reflecting our own self in him, thanks to the character "karthik" he played in Unnale Unnale.

But that is not perhaps the only reason for hailing this picture. I feel there is more to it than just senses.

Whenever I glare this pic, I imagine myself to be up there,
either recollecting the past which was so unambitious or thinking of the future which looks so ambiguous.

I always wanted to do this just like the pic. Just stand by the side of a tree , look upto the skies and ask myself two questions:
1. Was Everything Fine ?
2. Is Everything gonna be fine ?

But I know I would never get the answers............

I find this picture reflecting the very plight of each one of us who don't dare question the Gods about the meaning of existence of ourselves and all creatures surrounding,
And who is on the look out for a change from this 'ever busy never easy' life with changing proportions of happiness, joy, sorrow, care and what not!

I quote Shakespeare's words........

"All the world's a stage and all men and women merely players"

Adding a few of my words to it:

"All the world's a stage and all men and women merely players without realizing what role they are to play once and for all"

Thanks a lot for lending me your eyes and thought :)
